Reflections comes from the Heartland of America, from my home, a family farm, in the middle of fields of corn, rice, cotton and soybeans.  The corn is being picked now and the rice will be coming in soon.  We are closing out a summer of moderate to severe drought conditions, the irrigation pumps have been running for months.  A drain on our budget, but a blessing for the wildlife.  Our families have been farming for six generations and probally much longer.  Its a way of life that has evolved with changing times.

Many of you came from the rural areas of our nation or other precious soils, maybe not to long ago,  perhaps generations ago.  Do you have memories, or family legends of a rural heritage?
